The Ripen Stage (R3), is the third stage of the R3 Management Plan. With the yield potential of the crop already established, the key to nutrient management during the Ripening Stage is to ensure maximum sugar movement from the vegetative components to the grain or fruit.
This optimized phloem movement will:
1. Ensure maximum quality and storability of the harvested seed or fruit.
2. Address the potential for “hidden hunger”, that can cause unexpected yield loss.
3. Increase the nutrient density of the harvested crop.
ATP developed a 3 pronged product offering and management plan at the Ripen Stage to accomplish the above stated goals. These products and plans maximize sugar and nutrient movement. ATP isolated the key nutrients and delivers proprietary formulations along with the key “triggers” that satisfy the needs of the crop and the goals of the producer.
